The Board of Directors of The Pro-Vision Academy is pleased to share an important leadership announcement as we continue to build upon the strong legacy and future vision of our organization.
The Board of Directors appointments Dr. April Tasso as the new Superintendent of The Pro-Vision Academy, effective August 3, 2026.

Following careful consideration, the Board selected Dr. Tasso for her demonstrated leadership, deep commitment to student success, and extensive experience across various educational settings. She brings a well-rounded professional background with more than 25 years of experience that includes service as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), Dean of Students, Principal, and Chief Academic Officer, as well as leadership experience in both public independent school districts (ISD) and open-enrollment charter schools. This breadth of experience provides her with a unique and valuable perspective on meeting the needs of all learners and supporting educators at every level.

Throughout her career, Dr. Tasso has built a reputation for fostering positive school cultures, improving student outcomes, and strengthening partnerships with families and communities. Her work reflects a dedication to innovation and continuous improvement in education.

For the past five years, Dr. Tasso has served as Chief Academic Officer at The Pro-Vision Academy, where she has played a pivotal role in advancing academic programming, enhancing student experiences, and driving measurable improvements in student achievement. Her leadership has contributed significantly to strengthening the organization’s academic foundation and expanding opportunities for student success.
