August 10, 2024

Dear PVA Families, Teachers, and Staff,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at The Pro-Vision Academy! I hope that you had an opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy the summer break.
This is a wonderful time to be a part of PVA. If you are new, welcome to the best place for students to learn and grow in Sunnyside! Here, every student will experience learning in a safe and supportive environment. If you are returning, welcome back! Our mission is to educate, inspire and empower!

As your Superintendent, there is no better feeling than the start of a new school year. Regardless of role or title, we are all part of the PVA community and share in the excitement and anticipation that comes with each new school year.

My top priority, along with the Board of Education, is to ensure that all students have access to an excellent education in a safe environment. We envision a school community that graduates and equips every student with a vision and a plan to reach their full potential.

PVA has embraced innovative education strategies for our community. Those strategies include:
• 4-day instructional week (Monday-Thursday),
• Professional staff development for teachers and staff every other Friday,
• Dual credit college and career course offerings,
• Championship athletic programs: football, basketball, volleyball, and track,
• Transportation provided to and from school,
• Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and
• Positive, supportive relationships that support student
learning and growth.

I look forward to the excitement of the new year, and

I thank you for your dedication to our District, our

community, and the students and families that we

serve.  I strongly believe that 2024-2025 will be a

landmark year for our school, students, families, and

staff!

Sincerely,
Janelle James
Superintendent
