GETTING READY FOR 2021 STAAR / EOC TESTING!

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Below is important information regarding the school schedule for STAAR/EOC testing which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 8.   A different group of students is scheduled to test each day.   Students who are not scheduled to test on a given day will remain home and work remotely for the day.   See the details by campus below.

Middle School

  • On Tuesday, April 6, all students in Grades 4 and 7 are expected report to the campus to take the STAAR Writing test.   The test can only be taken on campus (face-to-face).   Parents who wish to pick students up should send a note with a good phone number.   They will be notified when the child is finished and ready to be picked up.   Students who finish early will remain in the classroom until picked up or released at the end of test time.

  • All students in Grades 3, 5, 6, and 8 will work remotely on Tuesday, April 6.   Teachers will post an assignment for them to complete asynchronously.   This assignment must be turned in by midnight for the student to receive credit for attendance.

  • All students will return to their regular face-to-face or virtual schedule on Wednesday, April 7 and remain on that schedule for the remainder of the week. 

 

High School

  • On Tuesday, April 6, all 1st time 9th graders who are enrolled in English 1 and all other high school students who need to re-take the English 1 EOC test are expected report to the campus for the test. The test can only be taken on campus (face-to-face).   Parents who wish to pick students up should send a note with a good phone number.   They will be notified when the child is finished and ready to be picked up.   Students who finish early will remain in the classroom until picked up or released at the end of test time.

  • All high school students who are not scheduled for the English 1 EOC will work remotely on Tuesday, April 6.   Teachers will post an assignment for them to complete asynchronously.   This assignment must be turned in by midnight for the student to receive credit for attendance.

  • All students will follow their regular face-to-face or virtual schedule on Wednesday, April 7.

  • On Thursday, April 8, all 1st time 10th graders who are enrolled in English II and all other high school students who need to re-take the English II EOC test are expected report to the campus for the test.  The test can only be taken on campus (face-to-face).   Parents who wish to pick students up should send a note with a good phone number.   They will be notified when the child is finished and ready to be picked up.   Students who finish early will remain in the classroom until picked up or released at the end of test time.

  • All high school students who are not scheduled for the English II EOC will work remotely on Thursday, April 8.   Teachers will post an assignment for them to complete asynchronously.   This assignment must be turned in by midnight for the student to receive credit for attendance.

  • All high school students will return to their regular face-to-face or virtual schedule on Friday, April 9.
